Retail traders will read this headline and think AMD just became an AI company. They will buy calls. They will tell their friends AMD is "positioned perfectly for the AI revolution." They will not read past the headline. They will not ask why a chip manufacturer needs to offer financing terms to its customers. They will definitely not ask what happens when the music stops and these AI companies realize they've spent billions on infrastructure to power chatbots that still can't remember what you said three messages ago.
