Microsoft Adds Features to App, Calls It Strategy

Microsoft updated Copilot to bundle more AI tools into one app. The company announced this as if combining features into a single interface qualifies as innovation. They used the word "packages" like they're shipping a product instead of admitting they're rearranging furniture in a burning house.

The move comes as Microsoft "searches for a winning AI strategy." That's corporate speak for "we spent billions on OpenAI and still can't figure out what we're doing." Anthropic exists as the competition now. A company most retail traders couldn't spell six months ago is the benchmark Microsoft has to beat. That's where we are.

Bundling capabilities means taking things that already existed separately and putting them in the same app. Revolutionary. Next they'll discover you can put a phone and a camera in the same device. The tech press will write fifteen hundred words about strategic consolidation and unified user experiences. None of it will matter because enterprises buy software based on procurement contracts and whatever their CIO's golf buddy recommends.

The real tell is "still searching for a winning AI strategy." Still. Microsoft has a market cap north of three trillion dollars and they're out here testing strategies like a sophomore with three different majors. They bought the stake in OpenAI. They have Azure. They have resources that could fund a small country's GDP. And they're packaging apps together while Anthropic eats their lunch with a chatbot that doesn't hallucinate vendor names into your quarterly report.

Retail traders will buy MSFT calls anyway because the chart looks like it's going up and their Discord told them AI is the future. The future is Microsoft combining apps and calling it a strategy while charging enterprise customers twelve dollars per seat per month.

The strategy is there is no strategy. The app is there is one app now instead of several. Bullish.
