Meta launched something called Muse AI. The stock moved. Todd Gordon looked at a chart and told you where the price is going because he can see the future in historical squiggles that have absolutely no predictive power whatsoever.
This is technical analysis. Draw some lines. Call them support and resistance. Pretend the past tells you about the future. Collect a paycheck for saying "if it breaks above this level, it could go higher, but if it falls below, watch out."
You know what else breaks out? Prisoners. Acne. War. None of these things are predicted by drawing triangles on a graph.
The headline says Meta is breaking out after introducing Muse AI. That word "after" is doing serious work. It implies causation. The stock moved because of the AI agent. Or maybe the stock moved because someone sneezed in a server farm. Or because Jupiter aligned with Mars. Or because Todd Gordon needed content for Tuesday.
Muse AI is presumably an AI agent that does something impressive enough to justify a press release but vague enough that nobody can explain what problem it solves. Meta has launched seventeen AI products in the past year. You remember zero of them. The stock goes up anyway because the letters A and I appear in the same sentence as the word "launch."
Retail traders will see this headline. They will buy calls. They will check the chart. They will see Todd Gordon's lines. They will feel informed. They will lose money in a way that feels like they were following a system.
The chart doesn't care about Muse AI. The chart doesn't care about anything. It's a f*cking chart.
