Evangelicals hate AI now. Labor unions hate AI. Anti-data-center activists hate AI. They all agreed to meet in the one place Donald Trump never looks: his blind spot.
This is the most confusing coalition since vegetarians teamed up with cattlemen to protest lettuce prices. Churches that couldn't agree on guitar music at Sunday service are now holding hands with teamsters over server farms. The Venn diagram looks like someone sneezed on a whiteboard.
Nobody panic-built a political movement faster than people who just noticed technology exists. These groups spent fifteen years ignoring algorithms, automation, and the systematic digitization of human labor. Then someone put a data center next to a megachurch and suddenly it's Avengers Assemble time.
Trump can't see this coming because it's happening in his peripheral vision. The man has the situational awareness of a goldfish in a blender. He's too busy truth-socialing at 3 a.m. to notice that Bible study groups and the AFL-CIO are carpooling to the same protest.
The best part? These people think they're winning because they formed a coalition. They held meetings. They made pamphlets. They probably have a shared Google Doc with seventeen different font choices because nobody could agree on Calibri versus Arial.
AI companies are building billion-dollar server farms while these people argue about whether ChatGPT has a soul. The technology they're worried about already lapped them four times. It's not slowing down because someone started a Facebook group called Concerned Citizens Against The Robots Taking Our Jobs And Also Our Salvation.
Retail traders will somehow find a way to lose money on this. They'll short tech stocks based on a coalition that dissolves the second someone mentions abortion or right-to-work laws. Then they'll tweet about market manipulation when Nvidia goes up another 8%.
The groundswell is real. The impact will be as meaningful as a petition to stop gravity.
