Market Has No Position on Senator's Stroke, Neither Do I

Sen. Chris Murphy remained in the hospital Tuesday. His office confirmed it.

Doctors say he is awake, alert and improving. That's the only news here that matters. Everything below is me failing to add to it.

The chart for this story is flat. No gap up. No gap down. No head and shoulders. Just a man in a Baltimore hospital getting better, which is the one trend I support.

Murphy felt numbness in his arm at his son's hockey game. He got care fast. His staff says he is expected to make a full recovery. A hockey parent did the right thing at a hockey game. Nobody else at a youth hockey rink has ever done that.

He was moved to Johns Hopkins. Good hospital. Better than your brokerage app, which also has a lot of people lying on their backs staring at ceilings.

His office has not said when he goes home. It has not said how severe the stroke was. I respect that. Doctors don't tell you when the bottom is in either, and they have actual degrees.

Retail traders will try to trade this. Some guy in a Discord named TendieDaddy will buy Connecticut tourism calls because a senator got sick. He will lose money. A stroke will not move Mystic Aquarium. Nothing moves Mystic Aquarium.

Murphy is 53. He has been in the Senate since 2013. His staff has called his prognosis excellent. Wish him well. Then close the brokerage app and call your own doctor about that arm thing you keep ignoring.

Your portfolio can't have a stroke. It would need a brain.
