Anthropic IPO Delayed By Gravity, Sources Say Nothing

Anthropic wants to go public. The Nasdaq wants to lie down.

Hyperscalers dropped some concerning projections this week. Tech stocks took the punishment. The Nasdaq logged its first three-week losing streak since March.

Three weeks. Retail traders are treating this like the fall of Rome. Rome lasted centuries. Your Nvidia call options lasted until Thursday.

Anthropic builds an AI called Claude. Claude can write a sonnet, debug your code, and explain options Greeks. Claude cannot explain why you bought QQQ calls at the top. Nobody can. Your therapist stopped trying.

Here is the bumpy path. Step one: file paperwork. Step two: find a market in a good mood. Step three: pray the hyperscalers stop saying scary numbers out loud. We are stuck on step two. The market is in the mood of a man reading his own bank statement.

Analysts will now explain that IPO windows open and close. They will say this with great confidence. They said the same thing when the window was open. Windows are very popular with analysts. Almost nobody has ever been seen climbing through one.

The chart says three red weekly candles. Three. A technical analyst needs at least a head and two shoulders before he feels anything. This is a bruise, not a diagnosis.

Does the delay matter? Not to the technology. Claude will keep working whether the ticker exists or not. Only your portfolio has a stake in this, and your portfolio already has a stake in a dog coin named after a vegetable.

Anthropic will go public eventually. You will buy it on day one at the high. Your cat will inherit the loss.
