Democrats won the midterms. Now they must deliver. Affordability. Anti-corruption. Two things Washington has never once been accused of lacking.
The plan is simple. Lower prices. Rein in President Trump. Do both with a Congress that cannot agree on lunch.
Consider the word "affordability." Nobody can define it. It means whatever your landlord just made it not mean. Democrats will pass a bill about it. The bill will have a name like the Cost of Living Relief and Fairness Act. Eggs will remain eggs.
Then there is corruption. Democrats plan to investigate it. Investigations are the Congressional equivalent of a gym membership. You feel productive the moment you sign up. Nothing changes after.
Retail traders are already positioning. I saw one on a forum announce that "affordability stocks" are the next trade. He did not name any. He has a ticker in mind anyway. It is a company that makes umbrellas and a small boat. He calls it a hedge.
Here is what the chart says. Nothing. Charts do not read the news. Charts do not care that a party won an election. Charts are lines. You are a person who stares at lines and calls it a career.
Trump will respond the way he always does. Loudly. With capital letters. Some of you will trade that, too. You will lose money on a post. A post.
The Democrats have the House, the gavel, and a long list of promises. History suggests they will keep roughly the ones that fit on a mug.
Your portfolio does not need an agenda. It needs a guardian.
