Nvidia CEO Discovers Lending Money to Customers Is Low Risk

Jensen Huang announced that investing in the companies buying his chips is low risk. Groundbreaking analysis from a man who gets paid whether the loan works out or not. The chipmaker still sells the GPUs either way. It's like a drug dealer offering layaway plans and calling it diversification.

Nvidia now finances the AI ecosystem it also supplies. Vertical integration used to mean owning the supply chain. Now it means lending your customers the money to buy your product and pretending that's investment strategy. Once in a generation opportunity, Huang called it. Once in a generation you get to be both the casino and the guy staking the degenerate gamblers.

The risk is low because Nvidia holds the collateral, the customer relationship, and the only GPUs worth buying. If the AI company folds, Nvidia repossesses hardware it manufactured. If the AI company succeeds, Nvidia gets equity upside on top of chip margins. Heads they win. Tails you lose.

Retail traders read this headline and started Googling "how to get Nvidia to fund my AI startup." They will send Jensen business plans written in ChatGPT with projected revenues that assume every human on Earth subscribes twice. He will not read them. His assistant will not read them. The spam filter will flag them for containing the phrase "disruptive paradigm shift" eleven times in two pages.

Huang defended the strategy as if anyone with a functioning liver questioned it. Loan money to customers who have no other chip supplier, collect interest, take equity, and still sell the chips at whatever price you want. The man could defend eating free lunch by saying calories are undervalued. Every CFO in America just realized they've been leaving vendor financing on the table while Nvidia turned the entire AI sector into a company store.
