Defend the seats you won by double digits. That's the plan now.
,MAGA Inc. reported $300.5 million in disbursements through Oct. 14., ,It still held $164.3 million in cash., Nobody hoards like a man who is suddenly spending.
Here's the detail I love. ,MAGA Inc. sent $200 million to No Going Back PAC and $25 million to Safety & Affordability PAC., Two new PACs. One treasurer. Same address. It's one guy with two hats, and both hats are on fire.
Look at the map. ,Safety & Affordability has spent $1.40 million in Ohio's 10th., ,Reporting describes that as defending a Republican who won by 18 points., Eighteen points. That's not a seat. That's a hostage.
,No Going Back has spent roughly $5 million each in Michigan's 4th and North Carolina's 11th., Five million dollars to protect a district nobody was worried about in 2024. Somebody is worried now. Probably the people with the checkbook.
Meanwhile, the triage ward is open. ,The Congressional Leadership Fund, Speaker Mike Johnson's super PAC, stopped advertising in Iowa's 1st, New Jersey's 7th, Michigan's 8th and Ohio's 1st., Some seats get $5 million. Some get a pillow.
,Trump's approval sits at 36% in a new New York Times/Siena poll., That's the number behind the spending. Not strategy. Arithmetic.
,Trump says his operation will spend more than $400 million by Election Day., That's a lot of ads telling people a safe seat is safe.
If you need $400 million to prove you're comfortable, you're not comfortable. You're a guy loudly checking the stove.
