John Hickenlooper, Democrat of Colorado and former governor, former mayor, former brewpub owner, and apparently now former Liberty Broadband shareholder, sold somewhere between $500,001 and $1,000,000 worth of LBRDK on May 19th, 2025. We know this because he told us about it on May 5th, 2026. Almost a full calendar year later. The STOCK Act requires disclosure within 45 days, which is a law that exists, on paper, in a building in Washington.

The trade itself is unremarkable in the way that a senator liquidating up to a million dollars in a single position is unremarkable, which is to say it is completely remarkable and we have all simply agreed to find it boring.

Liberty Broadband, for the uninitiated, is a cable and broadband holding company. Broadband infrastructure. You know, the kind of thing a Senate Commerce Committee member might encounter in his professional life from time to time. We are not saying anything. We are simply noting the industry. The chart knows what it knows.

The disclosure range — half a million to one million dollars — is also required by law, because apparently knowing within $499,999 is precise enough for the public interest.

No action required. The system is working exactly as designed. That's the part that should concern you.
