The Dow Rises Because Someone Had To

The Dow jumped while the AI trade wobbled. Two things happened at the same time. Journalists wrote it down and called it causation.

The Investing Club released something called the Homestretch. An actionable afternoon update. Actionable. They tell people what to do with their money in the last hour of trading because that's when the sharpest decisions get made. Sixty minutes before the bell. That's when you want to execute your most carefully considered trades. Right after lunch, brain full of turkey sandwich, staring at a headline about a portfolio name going on the M&A hunt.

A portfolio name. Not a company. Not a fund manager. A portfolio name. It has a name and now it hunts for acquisitions. The portfolio achieved sentience sometime between 3pm and 4pm Eastern and decided to start buying things. Nobody questioned this. They just wrote it into the summary.

The AI trade wobbled. Not collapsed. Not corrected. Wobbled. Like a drunk guy on a bicycle who somehow makes it home. Retail traders saw the wobble and checked their portfolios. Then they opened the Homestretch update. Then they took action in the final hour because a newsletter told them the Dow jumped while something else wobbled and a portfolio name felt hungry.

Every weekday this happens. Every single weekday. The club releases the update. The members read the update. The members feel informed. They know the Dow jumped. They know AI wobbled. They know a portfolio name hunts. They have actionable information now.

Somewhere a technical analyst drew a line on a chart and the line pointed up. Somewhere else another analyst drew a different line and that line pointed down. Both lines were correct. Both analysts collected their fees. The Dow jumped anyway because thirty blue-chip stocks decided Tuesday was better than Monday.

The portfolio name is still hunting.
