Voters told CNBC corruption is their top issue. Democrats saw an opening and took it.
The pitch is simple. You are poor. The president is not. Compare and contrast.
Democrats call this a strategy. I call it a spreadsheet with two columns and one of them is yours.
Here is my technical read. The voter's net worth is flat. The Trump family net worth is in a steep uptrend with higher highs and higher lows. No resistance overhead. Every analyst I know would call that a breakout. Every voter I know would call it Tuesday.
The family business dealings are described as lucrative. Fine. Lucrative is a word. So is dentist.
Retail traders will read this poll and feel seen. They will say corruption is the real issue. Then they will buy a meme coin launched by a guy named Brett and ask why markets feel rigged.
Polls are noise. Economic hardship is noise. A president's surging net worth is noise with a yacht. The only signal in this entire story is that people will tell a CNBC pollster they care about corruption, then check their phones to see if the thing went up.
The midterms are coming. Democrats will hold up the net worth chart. Republicans will hold up a different chart. Voters will hold the bag.
You wanted a candidate who shares your struggles. You got a candidate who shares your ticker.
